The Hope Branch's Journey

The Hope Branch in Malaysia has provided humanitarian aid to various vulnerable groups such as refugees, the homeless, disabled persons, the elderly, children, women, and ethnic minorities. Their work extends to supporting state institutions like hospitals, clinics, research centers, and the police. In 2022, with help from sponsors and volunteers, they distributed over 100,000 meals to more than 10,000 families and provided groceries and basic essentials to over 6,000 families, focusing on eradicating food insecurity and improving access to health and medical supplies.

Eradicating food insecurity

During the MCO, The Hope Branch delivered 100,000 PPE items and food to hospitals, clinics, and the police in Malaysia, working with KitaJagaKita for efficient aid delivery and communication with frontline workers.

Access to health and medical supplies

During the MCO, The Hope Branch distributed 4,500 dried food items to hospital staff and police, and also delivered over 1,200 hot meals to active soup kitchens like Pertiwi and The Lost Food Project.

Stories of hope from our communities

Our team was in Melaka recently to provide aid to the flood affected communities- namely Batu Berendam, Durian Tunggal, Alor Gajah, Bemban. Collaborating with Texas Instruments, we sent groceries, bedding and electrical items to their staff and families. They were all very welcoming and grateful that someone cared enough to give them a helping hand. Thank you, kind donors and volunteers who made, this flood aid efforts possible.

When we arrived in Kajang, we met a family in dire circumstances. Living in faeces infested home, an elderly woman suffered from extreme dehydration and malnutrition. The Hope Branch was able to intervene by getting this woman to the hospital and ensuring the proper sanitization of her home.
